Acid Etched Metal Art on Aluminum with American Black Walnut Wood
This one-of-a kind table clock featuring nature inspired artwork with dragonflies and ferns was created by the artist. Each original scene is hand painted onto the aluminum metal with an acid resistant paint. The painted metal artwork is submerged in acid until the artwork remains in high relief. The paint is removed and the metal art is hand finished with saws, files and buffing. The metal art carries the clock numbers 12, 3 and 6. The walnut wood has inlayed dots which designate the numbers 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11. The black walnut wood has a hand rubbed oil finish. Neither the wood nor the metal requires maintenance! The clock runs on a reliable Seiko quartz clockworks which runs on one AA battery. Battery is included.
